Golf fundraisers back on the calendar

The benefit golf tournament season has returned.

Among upcoming events are the Mineola FFA tournament Saturday, April 24 at the Mineola Country Club.

Tee times for the two-person teams are 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Cost is $200 per team. There will be a chili cookoff lunch afterward. Cost to enter the cookoff is $30.

Proceeds go toward the FFA chapter and national convention fees.

The Quitman-Lake Fork Kiwanis Club tournament is Saturday, May 1 at The Links at Land’s End on Lake Fork.

Sponsors sought include a $400 partner for a four-person team and hole sponsor, hole sponsor for $150, prize donations and items for player gift bags.

Cost to enter a team is $300 and includes cart, meal and ticket for the drawings. The $100 team advantage includes two mulligans and two additional tickets per player plus a free stroke with a five iron on the 16th hole.

The combined Mineola Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs benefit tournament has been tentatively set for May 22.
