Go Skating Day rolls through
Go Skateboarding Day was celebrated at the Mineola Community Skate Park last Tuesday with a variety of activities.
Lots of donated goodies, including T-shirts, skateboards and accessories were given away via raffle, tickets for which were free.
Nathan Witt spoke with pride about what they were able to do, filling in the gap for some children, who otherwise might now have the opportunity to participate in such an activity.
He wants to change the perception of skating, and the family-friendly day of food and fun was one step in that direction.
