Mineola junior Jonah Fischer was named the District 12-3A boys Most Valuable Player while teammate freshman Dawson Pendergrass earned Freshman Player of the Year and fellow freshman T.J. Moreland received accolades as the Newcomer of the Year.

Fischer gets 12-3A MVP nod

Mineola junior Jonah Fischer was named the District 12-3A boys Most Valuable Player while teammate freshman Dawson Pendergrass earned Freshman Player of the Year and fellow freshman T.J. Moreland received accolades as the Newcomer of the Year.

Quitman senior Jace Reid was named the Offensive Player of the Year and Mineola Coach Ryan Steadman was honored as Coach of the Year.

On the first team were Jon Michael Chadwick and Boedy Baker of Alba-Golden along with Wiley Franks and Kelby Bruner of Mineola.

Second team honors went to Trey Berry of Quitman, Kaleb Griffin of Mineola and Alba-Golden’s Hayden Weissert and Jacob Daily. Honorable mention went to Riley Flanagan and Aiden Corrior of Quitman and DeVante Stephens and Aiden Steward of Mineola.

Academic All District honors went to Ben Burroughs, River Chaney, Ford Tannebaum, Reid, Flanagan and Corrior of Quitman; and from Mineola Fischer, Franks, Moreland and Colt Marlow.
