Event planned at nature preserve

The Diva Du, a female-only endurance event, will hold its sixth annual event at the Mineola Nature Preserve Saturday, May 22.

It will feature two races, the Duathlon Sprint individual and team relay consisting of a 1.5-mile run, ten-mile bike and 1.5-mile run and a 5K run.

The duathlon race and 5K are chip-timed and will award prizes to the top three age group winners. The Diva Du will also include extraordinary wine after at the venue along with a post race meal. Additionally, all participants will receive a finisher medal, race tank and other swag.

The event will take athletes through a beautiful course at the Mineola Nature Preserve and surrounding Mineola countryside, finishing at Grand Oaks Winery.

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert
