Early voting gets underway Tuesday for March 3 party primaries
Early voting begins Tuesday, Feb. 18 for the party primaries, which will be held Tuesday, March 3.
Registered voters may cast ballots at the new county annex building in Quitman weekdays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. through Friday, Feb. 28 and on Saturday, Feb. 22 from 9-5.
Three sites will also host early voting Feb. 27-28 from 8-5:
Hawkins Community Center – 301 Lynch St., First United Methodist Ministries Center – 612 N Newsom St. in Mineola, and Winnsboro City Auditorium – Hwy 515 to Wheeler Dr. Winnsboro.
Six races are contested locally in the Republican primary: district judge, district attorney, sheriff, constables in Precincts 1 and 3 and commissioner Precinct 1.
