Dog days of summer workouts in Quitman
Quitman Athletic Director Brian Oakes reported over 50 boys attended each day of early summer conditioning workouts last week.
The athletes and coaches were mindful of the social distancing guidelines. Each athlete was checked for their temperature before entering the field to work out, and there was plenty of water for student-athletes and coaches. Ozarka and local businesses donated numerous pallets of water for the athletes.
Several Quitman Lady Bulldog athletes joined in the summer workouts last week under the watchful eye and direction of Coach Blake Hamrick. The ladies went through drills and later in the morning worked on specific sports.
