Mineola’s Sabria Dean added another honor to her long list of accolades, earning the District 12-3A Most Valuable Player in girl’s basketball. Freshman Cacie Lennon of Alba-Golden was named Freshman of the Year.

Mineola’s Sabria Dean added another honor to her long list of accolades, earning the District 12-3A Most Valuable Player in girl’s basketball. Freshman Cacie Lennon of Alba-Golden was named Freshman of the Year.
Named to the first team were junior Kalli Wright, Alba-Golden; seniors Meghan Brewington, Tiara Stephens and Cyndi Butler and junior Tahjae Black, all of Mineola; and senior Maddy Whitehurst and sophomore Ava Burroughs of Quitman.
On the second team were junior Isabella Crawford, Alba-Golden; senior Kelsey Brewington, Mineola; and senior Shelby Hayes, junior Kynlee Love and freshman Madyson Pence, Quitman.
Named honorable mention were Jordin Barnhart, Crimson Bryant and Hannah Wright of Alba-Golden; Jaiden Chreitzberg, Alyssa Cannon and Jessiah Riley from Mineola; and Julia Simpkins of Quitman.
Academic All District was awarded to Bryant, Lennon, Kallie Wright, Barnhart, Gracie Teel, Justina Peterson and Bella Crawford from Alba-Golden; Meghan Brewington, Kelsey Brewington, Dean, Stephens, Butler, Black and Mikyla Black, from Mineola; and from Quitman, Hayes, Love, Burroughs, Simpkins, Pence, Whitehurst, Alexis McPherson, Carley Spears, Lindsey Hornaday and Reiny Luman.
