County Republican club awards four scholarships
The Lake Country Republican Club awarded four local high school students scholarships at their meeting Monday, Dec. 2.
The students were chosen from a group who submitted entries for LCRC’s annual Constitution Essay contest. Entrants chose to write about their choice of three prompts – the 2nd Amendment, the 4th Amendment, and the Electoral College.
Winners were as follows:
1st place, $500, Caleb Miller, Winnsboro High School
2nd place, $300, Bailey Crofford, Winnsboro High School
tied for 3rd place, $200 each Rachel Pinnel, Winnsboro High school, and Cortney Pope, Hawkins High school.
