Master Gardeners host series
The Wood County Master Gardeners will host a monthly lunch and learn series during 2025.
The one-hour programs will be held at noon at the First Assembly of God Church, 909 E. Goode St. in Quitman on the fourth Thursday of the month.
Programs are free, and participants are invited to bring a lunch.
Feb. 27 will be creating your own food forest, March 27 is curb appeal in a small town, and April 24 is composting, more than manure (to be held at 618 S. Main St.).
The May 22 program is what’s bugging you in the garden, June 26 is creating a pollinator paradise and July is how to keep houseplants happy.
In August the program is herb your enthusiasm on the 28th, which will be a preview for the herb festival, which is on Saturday, Sept. 13th.
The Sept. 25 program is branching out - how to plant a tree, and Oct. 23 will be crockpot gardening.
