City council, school board honor Yellowjacket teams
The Mineola Yellowjackets made the rounds of local government Monday.
The football team, which advanced to the third round of the state playoffs, was honored at Monday’s city council meeting for its accomplishments.
Then the team and coaches made their way to the school board meeting where they were again honored, along with the high school volleyball team, which also advanced in the playoffs, and the cross country team, with the girls winning district and just missing out on the limited field for the state meet.
