Mineola Fire Department calls for the past two weeks were:
Oct. 19 – At 1:36 p.m. the department was dispatched to Highway 37 to assist EMS and at 4:36 p.m. the department was dispatched to County Road 2260 for a forest, woods or wildland fire caused by a burning brush pile.
Oct. 17 – At 5:44 a.m. the department was dispatched to University Street for an accidental building fire that started in a bedroom.
Oct. 16 – At 3:53 p.m. the department was dispatched to North Newsom Street but was canceled en route and at 4:40 p.m. to Farm-to-Market Road 1253 for a grass fire caused by a burning stump. At 6:30 p.m. the department was dispatched to Broad and Johnson Streets to assist EMS. At 6:36 p.m. the department was dispatched to North Newsom Street in reference to an aircraft standby and at 8:52 p.m. to Highway 80 for a cooking fire.
Oct. 15 – At 1:44 p.m. the department was dispatched to Private Road 6252 and at 5:01 p.m. to Loop 564 to assist EMS.
Oct. 14 – At 7:11 a.m. the department was dispatched to CR 2220 for a grass fire caused by lightning.
Oct. 13 – At 2:15 p.m. the department was dispatched to CR 2317 to assist EMS.
