All-district 19-3A football honors announced

The Alba-Golden Panthers have six players named to the District 19-3A D2 all district football first team. They are offensive lineman Jacob Dailey, fullback Austin Hartley and running back Jon Chadwick. On the defensive first team are defensive lineman Tim Mitchell and safety Jon Chadwick.

All-district 19-3A football honors announced

The Alba-Golden Panthers have six players named to the District 19-3A D2 all district football first team. They are offensive lineman Jacob Dailey, fullback Austin Hartley and running back Jon Chadwick. On the defensive first team are defensive lineman Tim Mitchell and safety Jon Chadwick. Sophomore Michael Chadwick is Co-Newcomer of the Year and sophomore Blake Weissert is Utility Player of the Year. On the second team from Alba-Golden are Hayden Weissert, Shawn Gaskill and Ryan Jackson. 

Named honorable mention are Blake Weissert, Jayden Green, Ethan Salinas, Dalton Arnold and Caleb Anderson.

From Quitman, Hunter Gilbreath was named second team while Chris Chabaud, Trey Berry, River Chaney and Bryan Morris are honorable mention.

To be named to the Academic All District team, a student-athlete must maintain a 90 or above average. From Alba-Golden on the academic team are seniors Jacob Dailey, Jon Chadwick, Eathan Ferrer, Austin Hartley, Tim Mitchell, Brayden Reynolds, Matt Rogers, Corey Rush and Hayden Weissert; juniors Caleb Anderson, Boedy Baker, Blake Douglas and Josh Watts; sophomores Micheal Gaskill, Shawn Gaskill, Nick Hallman, Thai Peterson and Blake Weissert; and freshmen Glenn Hartley, Donald McVay.

From Quitman on the Academic All District team are seniors River Chaney, Ben Burroughs, Rylie Flanagan, Jaiven Anderson, Trey Berry and Hunter Huggins; and juniors Hunter Batchelder, Silvano Castillo, Hayden Cook, Sebastian Letterman, Cody Hawley, Ty Holland, Christian James, Jonathan Lacy, Wyatt McClanahan, Blake Morris and Bryan Morris.
