Alba council sets tax hearing
A public hearing for the proposed city of Alba property tax rate was set Monday, Aug. 24 at 6 p.m. at city hall.
The city council voted Monday to set the rate at $.976 per $100 valuation. That is a slight decrease from last year’s rate of $.9797.
The council discussed a request from Peoples Communications for an easement across the city’s Katy St. property and requested further information before making a decision.
