A new convenience store, gas station and Sonic is coming to Alba, and the city's economic development corporation held a groundbreaking Wednesday morning, March 24.

A new convenience store, gas station and Sonic is coming to Alba, and the city's economic development corporation held a groundbreaking Wednesday morning, March 24.
The project has encountered several weather delays, but the site work is underway, and owner Harry Patel said the 5,200-square-foot-building should be ready in 150 days.
One end will be leased for a Sonic franchise.
Dirt work is also underway on the adjacent lot for a new Family Dollar store.
